2008 was an interesting year for us. Our Holiday Light Show was setup more or less as scheduled, but instead of filming and/or photographing our show we found ourselves doing something quite different.

I was pregnant with our son, Spencer, at the time - which left Dave to handle the majority of the outside decorating. Spencer's due date wasn't until January 3rd, 2009, but he decided to surprise us all and arrive 3 weeks early on December 13th via emergency caesarean. His early delivery and his still underdeveloped lungs landed him in the NICU for the next week and a half. On December 22, just days before Christmas, we brought him home. He was still tethered to the oxygen tank, that we also brought home with us, but we were glad to be together as a family for Christmas.

As is probably quite obvious, our plans and priorities around the holidays shifted quite a bit with his early arrival and we failed to film or photograph anything regarding our display this year. Frankly, it was hard to remember if we even did our light display in 2008, but the one memory that stood out to us is that we were able to tune to our FM radio station from the parking lot at the hospital. There was a bit of static between our house and the hospital, but we seemed to have a pretty straight shot to the transmitter from the parking lot at Logan Regional.
